David Ian - Burt
An accomplished veteran of stage, screen and radio, David began his acting career in 1972, in the stage debut of the musical "Wednesday's Child", written and directed by Robert F. Hanson.
After several years of stage work, David pursued both commercial and industrial markets and successfully launched his career. As a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Association, Screen Actors Guild and Actor's Equity Association, an impressive client list was established.
Davids numerous credits represent clients such as Ford, Nissan, Miller Brewing Company, Dunkin Donuts, Proctor and Gamble, Discover Card, Midas, Bose and the U.S. Air Force, to name a few.
In addition to his commercial credit, Davids stage accomplishments include several productions with the Boston Playwrights Theatre, under the direction of Derek Walcott; the Gloucester Stage Company under the direction of Israel Horowitz; and the Lyric West Theatre.
Various feature films and TV dramas compliment Davids resume. As ABC's "Spenser: for hire" began filming in Boston, David won many roles during its three season run. PBS' Nova series and American Playhouse have also provided several interesting projects, including "Concealed Enemies", which won critical acclaim.
Since the summer of 1999, David has added roles in "The Gentleman From Boston", "Title To Murder", "The Color of Water", and, of course, "Easy Listening" to his list of film credits.
An accomplished musician (guitar, electric and double base) and vocalist,
Davids hobbies include music, screenplay writing, and theatre instruction at both the middle and high school levels. David resides in the Boston area with his wife and three children.
